Any success stories from taking second tier part time management school?

So, I'm currently in a situation where I'm team lead in a team, I manage 1-on-1s, kanban, planning etc, whilst coding(50/50).

I've just turned 30 and since finishing University(degree in Comp. Sci), I've tried to begin a masters in business administration but I had to drop it as I've moved to another country. I know a lot of people who doesn't have any degree at all and are into VP/CTO positions. In tech, it seems like those things are even frowned upon. I've read many books about management, those "MBA books" etc and quite get even accounting as I like investing in stocks.

Is there anybody that felt that studying in a "second tier"(as of, not those full time very expensive MBAs) part-time management course was of any value?
